What information do we collect? Credd is a Discord bot. To create and run your game account, we collect the Discord user ID associated with your Discord account (this is required, since it is how we identify your account) and the Discord username you had at the time of registration. We also store the gameplay data you generate by playing (see Section 1).

Do we process any sensitive personal information? No. We do not process sensitive personal information such as racial or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, or religious beliefs.

Do we collect information from third parties? We receive your Discord user ID and username from Discord when you use the bot, because that is how Discord identifies you to the bot. We do not collect information about you from any other third-party source.

How do we process your information? We process your information to create and operate your game account, to run gameplay features, to prevent abuse and cheating, to provide supporter benefits, and to comply with law. Learn more in Section 2.

When do we share your information? We only share information in the limited situations described in Section 4. We do not sell your personal information.

1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

Personal information you provide to us

In Short: We collect the minimum information needed to run your game account: your Discord user ID and username.

When you use the Credd bot, we collect:

Discord user ID. This is the unique numeric identifier ("snowflake") that Discord assigns to your account. It is required, and it is the only way we can create, identify, and operate your game account. You do not type this in; Discord provides it to the bot when you run a command.
Discord username. The display name on your Discord account at the time you register, stored so your account and gameplay can be shown in a readable form.

We do not collect your email address, real name, phone number, IP address, password, or Discord message content.

Gameplay data we generate

To run the game, we store data that you create by playing, all linked to your Discord user ID. This includes things like your character class and level, in-game currencies and items, daily streaks, quest progress, battle and raid results, and player-versus-player records. This information exists only to make the game work and is not used to identify you outside of the Services.

Server (guild) information

When Credd is used in a Discord server, we store the server (guild) ID and, for admin-configured features, certain channel IDs and server settings (such as the command prefix and announcement channel). This lets server administrators configure how the bot behaves in their server. We also record a timestamp of your most recent command in a server to support features like server-wide events.

Sensitive information

We do not process sensitive information.

Payment data

If you choose to become a paid supporter, payment is handled through a manual PayPal invoice. You pay PayPal directly, and PayPal processes and stores all payment details. We do not collect or store your card number, bank details, or PayPal security credentials. We only record that a given Discord account holds an active supporter tier so we can apply the associated in-game benefits. All information you provide to us must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such information.

2. HOW DO WE PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?

In Short: We process your information to create and operate your game account, run the game, prevent abuse, provide supporter benefits, and comply with law.

We process your personal information for the following purposes:

To create and manage your game account. Your Discord user ID and username let us create your account, save your progress, and load it when you play.
To operate gameplay features. Your gameplay data powers the game's mechanics, such as combat, currencies, quests, leaderboards, and events.
To prevent abuse and enforce fair play. We use account and activity data to detect cheating, prevent duplicate reward claims, and enforce bans where necessary.
To provide supporter benefits. If you support the project, we process your supporter status to grant the relevant in-game perks.
To communicate with you and provide support. If you contact us for help, we use your information to respond.
To comply with legal obligations. We may process information where required to comply with applicable law.

3. WHAT LEGAL BASES DO WE RELY ON TO PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?

In Short: We only process your personal information when we have a valid legal reason to do so.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR require us to explain the valid legal bases we rely on to process your personal information. We may rely on the following:

Consent. You give us consent to process your information by choosing to use the bot. You can withdraw your consent at any time by ceasing to use the Services and requesting deletion of your data.
Performance of a contract. We process your information to provide the Services you have requested by using the bot.
Legitimate interests. We may process your information to prevent cheating and abuse, keep the game working fairly for all players, and improve the Services.
Legal obligations. We may process your information where necessary to comply with our legal obligations.

If you are located in Canada, this section applies to you.

We may process your information if you have given us express consent to use it for a specific purpose, or in situations where your permission can be inferred (implied consent). You can withdraw your consent at any time.

We may share your information in the following situations:

Discord. Credd operates entirely on the Discord platform. Your interactions with the bot occur through Discord, and your use of Discord is governed by Discord's own Privacy Policy.
Payment processing (PayPal). If you become a paid supporter, PayPal processes your payment. We share only what is necessary to reconcile your payment with your supporter status.
Hosting and infrastructure providers. We use service providers to host the bot and store its database. These providers process data on our behalf under a contract and only as needed to run the Services.
Legal requirements. We may disclose information where required to do so by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or others.
Business transfers. We may share or transfer your information in connection with any merger, sale of assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our project.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising purposes.

5. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?

In Short: We keep your information only as long as you have an account with us, unless a longer period is required by law.

We keep your personal information for as long as your game account exists. When you request deletion, or when we have no ongoing legitimate need to process your information, we will delete or anonymize it. Where immediate deletion is not possible (for example, because information is held in secure backups), we will securely store it and isolate it from further processing until deletion is possible.

Certain game records (such as historical battle logs) may retain a numeric Discord ID reference even after an account is deleted, but these are no longer linked to an active account or username.

6. HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?

In Short: We aim to protect your information through reasonable organizational and technical measures.

We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect your information. However, despite our safeguards, no electronic transmission or storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, or modify your information. You use the Services at your own risk.

7. DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?

In Short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age, or the equivalent age of majority in your jurisdiction.

We do not knowingly collect, solicit data from, or market to children under 18 years of age (or the equivalent age of majority in your jurisdiction). By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18, or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to their use of the Services. This aligns with Discord's own minimum age requirements. If we learn that information from a user under the applicable age has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data. 8. WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS?

In Short: Depending on where you live, you may have rights that give you greater access to and control over your personal information.

In some regions (such as the EEA, UK, Switzerland, and Canada), you have certain rights under applicable data protection laws. These may include the right to (i) request access to and obtain a copy of your personal information, (ii) request rectification or erasure, (iii) restrict the processing of your personal information, and (iv) where applicable, data portability. If you are located in the EEA or UK and believe we are unlawfully processing your personal information, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Withdrawing your consent: If we are relying on your consent to process your personal information, you have the right to withdraw it at any time by contacting us at credd.support@gmail.com and requesting deletion of your account and data. This will not affect the lawfulness of processing before its withdrawal.

Account information

If you would at any time like to review, change, or delete your account information, you can contact us at credd.support@gmail.com. Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases. However, we may retain some information to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with investigations, enforce our legal terms, and/or comply with applicable legal requirements.

9. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES

Credd is a Discord bot and does not use web browser tracking, cookies, or advertising technology. Because the Services do not track your browsing activity across websites, Do-Not-Track ("DNT") and Global Privacy Control ("GPC") browser signals do not apply to how the bot operates. If this changes in the future, we will update this notice.

10. DO UNITED STATES RESIDENTS HAVE SPECIFIC PRIVACY RIGHTS?

In Short: Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights to request access to, correct, or delete your personal information.

If you are a resident of certain US states, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to correct inaccuracies, to request a copy, or to request deletion. You may also have the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights.

The categories of personal information we collect are limited to identifiers, specifically, your Discord user ID and username. We do not collect biometric information, precise geolocation, browsing history, financial account details, or other sensitive categories.

We have not sold or shared personal information with third parties for a business or commercial purpose, and we do not intend to sell or share your personal information in the future.
